Pyro man is a research tool employed (for minimum wage) by the School of Textiles at North Carolina State University. He is used to test new materials for their resistance to combustion. Without a single complaint, pyro man withstands the fury of 8 blow torches. You can see one of the blow torches in the lower right corner of the picture. Pyro man has heat sensors to detect the degree of burns on his "body".
